Joel started his construction career working for GPR’s joint venture company DCCO as a laborer apprentice from 1991-1994. After DCCO construction division closed, Joel transitioned into concrete saw cutting and diamond core drilling and worked in the Laborer’s Union for 28 years. Joel returned to GPR/ DCCO in 2019 as a Facilities Manager for the Bay Area & Salinas properties.

Joel served in the United States Army Reserves from 1990-1994 as a Unit Supply Specialist. Joel has completed a certificate program with the University of California, Berkeley in Facilities Management.
